Ben has more than 12 year’s experience in finance and operations management and holds two degrees from the University of Tasmania, a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Information Systems. Ben worked for BDO Chartered Accountants and Deloitte where he was admitted to the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 2005. He became Finance Manager of MCM Entertainment Group Limited (MEG) in 2006 and played a key role in MEG’s transformation from a private company to an ASX publicly listed entity. In 2012, he was promoted to Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Company Secretary of MEG. More recently and prior to co-founding Emotive, Ben was CFO of Sherpa Systems, a Software as a Service (SaaS) business. Ben’s role as COO includes the financial and treasury function in addition to operations management where he is responsible for business work flow, deployment of technology, human capital needs and legal compliance.
