Canadian superstar Alessia Cara performed in front of a jam-packed crowd at Bondi Beach’s Blue Room in Sydney on Tuesday. Her performance did not disappoint the intimate audience, in what was yet another amazing iHeartRadio LIVE powered by Optus event.
A boutique crowd of 200 lucky fans were enchanted by the soulful songstress Alessia Cara. The chart topping singer kicked off the night with ‘Here’ and her flawless vocals stunned the crowd from the first note, performing ‘Wild Things’, ‘How Far I’ll Go’ and her brand new track with Zedd called ‘Stay’. Alessia chatted and joked with the fans between songs as the sun set over Bondi Beach.
She beautifully introduced her smash hit ‘Scars to Your Beautiful’ and explained her motivation to write the song as a means of autobiographical promotion of self-acceptance. Alessia opened up with the crowd about how we need to challenge the idea of beauty, particularly women and girls – “If anything, I think the world needs to start changing themselves, they’ve got to start changing their perspectives. What is beauty anyways, beauty is so many different things and we are all beautiful”.
